IGNITE Kickoff
We kicked off our first IGNITE Event on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at GKHS with pizza, pop/water, and cake. The pizza was from Flying Tomato Restaurant, a local pizzeria in Graham, the delicious cake from Costco.
We had three presenters at our event. Our event was held in the Career Center from 10:47 a.m.-12:10 p.m. We had 26 young ladies attend. They came with great questions, showed a good deal of interest in the program, and seemed pleased talking with women in their chosen profession.

It was fascinating to hear what our speakers shared about their personal success story. Having known two of our speakers for many years, as dear friends and past colleagues, it was interesting to hear what they shared with these young ladies. A special thank you to Christina for joining Cindy in this endeavour. And, to Becky for driving to Graham after being away from her family for a week on business.
A special thank you to Cathi Rodgveller for her support. Thank you to George Aszklar for ordering the pizza, making sure it arrived on time, and for taking pictures of our event. Thank you to Carolyn Bohnhoff for sharing the Career Center with us. Thank you to Jennifer Bethman, GKHS principal, for allowing us to hold this event during class and to GK and Frontier Junior High staff for excusing students and allowing them to make up their missing work.
As a result of this event, we have 17 girls signed up to attend the IGNITE Glitter Event at Seattle Central Community College Event on Friday, May 16, 2008.
It was definitely a nice kick off event. Thank you for helping to make it happen.
